About the Author

Winfrey Blackburn grew up inFrankfort, Kentucky in a family that never hesitated to embellish atall tale. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Lawin 1964 and has practiced law in Louisville since 1965. Now that he hastwo daughters and a grandson on the way, he looks forward to polishingup the old stories that he made up for his daughters and their friendsand even making up some new ones.

About the Illustrator

Sylvia Berger is a constantdoodler. When visiting most restaurants with her grandchildren she canbe found coloring in a kid’s menu while waiting for her food to arrive.She was born in Canada, but has been a proud naturalized citizen formore than 20 of the 30 years she has lived in Louisville, Ky. Shereceived her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from the University ofLouisville in 1983. She received the Winthrop Allen award foroutstanding work as a graduating senior. Her paintings are shown in theLouisville area.
