Author Bio

Anthony D. Lunsford is a first-time author and Cincinnati native, born in Corbin, Kentucky. He grew up in Carthage, where he discovered his love for basketball. In 1977, he joined software pioneer Cincom Systems, Inc. Along the way, he worked as a software engineer for General Electric AEBG, General Motors, and Electronic Data Systems. In 1990, he formed his own software firm, Jireh Consulting Group, Inc., serving Fortune 500 clients worldwide, including the United States military. They supported their clients for 25 years and employed over 40 consultant/software engineers.

Through his passion for the game of basketball, his youngest daughter grew to love it as well. She actually surpassed his skill level and was pursued by numerous elite colleges. Together they researched the history of women’s basketball, and now possess quite a collection of historical basketball items, including Dr. James Naismith’s immigration papers. In 2015, Lunsford and his daughter co-founded Basketball Skills Academy, a Nonprofit Corporation that merges state-of-the-art basketball instruction—using elite trainers and coaches—with the latest training equipment.
