Author Bio
Tim Rahn grew up in Cranford, New Jersey, and since the age of five has been an avid fisherman who loves nature and the sea.
When he was fifteen, his brother Charlie lived in Miami, and during a visit he drove Tim to Key West on the old highway. Tim knew from that trip that he would someday make the Keys his home.
In 1994, he moved to Lower Matecumbe to pursue his dream of living in the Keys, and since then has had countless fishing adventures and a successful career in boat sales.
When digital cameras became available, he decided he wanted to master the craft of photography and capture the natural beauty and fine details of the unique ecosystem of the Keys. Much to his surprise, this led to a wonderful career in fine art photography!
Tim’s work can be seen on Netflix Bloodlines, cruise ships, fishing magazines, resorts, and countless amazing homes and businesses, and of course, his gallery at Robbie’s in Islamorada.
Above all, his goal is that his images will inspire viewers to remember that nature was here first, and we must do our best to protect and respect it so future generations can see the amazing creatures and sights that make the Florida Keys so unique.
