Author Bio
Elizabeth Rouse Fielder is the great-great-granddaughter of United States Senator Joseph C.S. Blackburn of Kentucky. Growing up she heard countless first-hand accounts of the Senator’s life from her grandmother Terese Blackburn Lane Rouse who was raised by the Senator. Ms. Fielder wrote this book as a way to get to know the Senator and honor his legacy.
Ms. Fielder is an attorney and author who has written a number of articles about Joseph C.S. Blackburn. She is currently working on a non-fiction book about Blackburn’s legacy as the first Governor of the Panama Canal Zone and a historical fiction book based on the Blackburn family. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her husband, Tom.
