Attn: All Former Texas Rangers and Family Members –

Since 1897, the Former Texas Rangers Association has served as s source of fellowship and esprit de corps for our members and a resource for Texas law enforcement in the 21st century. To celebrate and preserve our contributions to the safety and security to the state of Texas, the FTRA has joined forces with Acclaim Press, a leading publisher of commemorative law enforcement books, to produce a library quality, full-color hardbound book that will document our remarkable history and honor the men and women who have worn the Ranger badge.

This exciting new book will include a comprehensive history of the Texas Rangers and our Association, plus stories, photographs, and biographies from our members. There is no better way to capture our tradition of service than through a collection of pictures, stories, and historic facts that combine to tell the story of this great agency and the people who made it what it is today!

We’ve received many biographies of FTRA members, but we know a lot more of you have yet to submit yours! This is our FINAL submission period – get your free biography and two photos in by October 31, 2024!

What You Need To Do:

Send in your personal biography. Biographies are brief vignettes (approx. 150 words) detailing your law enforcement career and life after serving on the force (see examples in this brochure), and also can include up to two (2) photographs: one from your early days as a Texas Ranger, and a current photo (color preferred or black-and-white).

You may also submit any historic photographs and/or general interest stories of up to 1,000 words for the editor’s review. When sending photos, please write your name, address and a caption on the back. Your biography, and any stories or photos used will be included for free, and all materials will be returned to you! Biographies, photographs, and stories may be emailed to: FTRAbook@acclaimpress.com.

This unique book will give us the opportunity to record our legacy of service, helping to inspire and educate future generations, and will also document your time as a Texas Ranger. Please send us your information so that our book will be as complete as possible. Again, IT IS FREE TO BE INCLUDED!

Widows, friends, and family members are also encouraged to send in biographical portraits and materials for their loved ones now passed on – a perfect tribute to their service to our nation.

Order your copy of this limited-edition print by October 31, 2024, to ensure you get a copy!
