In coordination with the upcoming Missouri state bicentennial celebration, the University of Missouri and Missouri Farm Bureau Federation are pleased to announce plans for the book, Missouri’s Century Farms, Vol. II, a new and expanded volume that will include updated historical content through 2021.
The family farm is the very root of agriculture and its proud heritage, and generational families that have maintained a farm for 100 years or more deserve special recognition for maintaining this special way of life.
In addition to comprehensive history of the Missouri Century Farm program, this book will feature a special section showcasing hundreds of Missouri award-winning farms from the early days of the Century Farm program four decades ago through 2021. The book will also include the history of agriculture in Missouri by region, an overview of how technology has evolved throughout the state, a complete roster of all Missouri Century Farm awardees, and much more!
This beautiful, 8.5×11-inch, full-color “coffee-table” volume, bound in a luxurious green leatherette cover with gold elements, is available for only $59.95.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will also help other communities and organizations preserve their history through Our American Heritage Project, a non-profit organization.
