Author Bio
Harry Sharp grew up in the Southeastern Missouri town of Sikeston surrounded by farms, fields, streams, and woods to explore. He attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and Florida State University, accomplishing a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Mathematics. That background served him well in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a career with the IBM Corporation.
After IBM he formed a consulting firm, The Sharper System, taught mathematics at Spelman College in Atlanta and physics at Sikeston and Kelly High Schools, and then became a United Methodist pastor for ten years.
When he returned to Sikeston and was involved in the creation of Historic Downtown Sikeston, he became known as “Mr. History.”
