Mississippi Department of Public Safety is proud to announce that we are developing an all new Commemorative Yearbook to celebrate MDPS’s upcoming 85th Anniversary and honor our members, past and present. This hardbound commemorative “coffee-table” book will include hundreds of photographs and memories that fully illustrates what it means to be a member of the MDPS family.

What better way to capture our proud past and promising future than through a collection of pictures and information that, combined, tell the story of this great agency and of the people who made it what it is today? The publisher and agency anniversary book committee are committed to making our new album a comprehensive and professional publication of which all our members, sworn and civilian, active and retired, will be proud to own.

This 9×12-inch, hardbound book will be printed in full-color and contain hundreds of historic and modern photos of civilian and uniformed personnel. It will also include photographic portraits of department members, as well as candid and action photos.

Contents will include:

• MDPS Highlights of History from its inception in 1938 through 2023, including tools of the trade, cases and events, and other highlights

• Full-color portraits of current agency personnel, sworn, civilian, & retired

• In Memoriam tribute to Fallen Troopers

• Hundreds of photographs showcasing the men and women of MDPS, past and present (send us your photos!)

• Department, Troop & Special Unit highlights & group photos

• Agency Rosters, Then & Now, Departmental Awards,    plus much more!

We Need Your Help

These are your memories! Our goal is to commemorate the many accomplishments and services that you provide to our organization and state. To make it as comprehensive as possible, we are asking you to contribute by sending in photos from your time with our agency— action shots and group photos will be reviewed. All photos should include a brief caption describing who is pictured, when it was taken, and what was happening. Send any photos for consideration to mdpsbook@acclaimpress.com.
