For better or worse, Walmart has become the crossroads of local America. And the person directing the traffic at that crossroads is the ubiquitous, modern folk hero known as the Walmart Greeter. There is no greater greeter from that distinguished vocation than one Garry Warner. Having fervently fulfilled that role for years now, Garry has been observing, interviewing, noting, laughing and crying, all the while documenting the stories of some of his most interesting and intriguing guests, right there in the very entrance and aisles of the local Supercenter. From heartbreaking to inspiring, touching to aggravating, and from wacky to just plain weird, Garry has seen it all in America’s biggest retailer.

Now, for your enjoyment, and entertainment, he has compiled the collection of his very best stories that he has come across in the personable, folksy style that makes him excel at his position. All we can say is, “Attention Walmart shoppers, you are going to want one of these in your basket!”
