The San Diego Fireman’s Relief Association (SDFRA) and Fire Chief Javier Mainar are pleased to announce that work is finished on the library quality, full-color, hardbound book to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, and honor the men and women who protect the citizens of San Diego, both yesterday and today.

This exciting new book includes a detailed history of the department from 1889-2014; full-color portrait photographs of all personnel–uniform, civilian and retired; group photos, including units, stations and shifts; personal experience stories by firefighters and staff; past badges and patches, and past fire chiefs; In Memoriam Tribute to those who died while serving; division, station unit pages; historic and contemporary photos; roster of active and retired personnel; plus much more!
