Untethered Travels

We, humans, are created of habit, tied down by daily routines that make it difficult to reflect on the beauty that surrounds us. Taking time to enjoy the tranquility of a sunrise, the stillness of a snowy meadow or the majesty of a mountain landscape can be difficult to achieve in our hectic lifestyles.

The power of photography is that it lets us appreciate the vast splendor of places we’ve never been. One freezes time in a photograph. The camera lens captures a moment that can never be duplicated, but in capturing that moment we can enjoy and reflect upon that place…that event, and then imagine ourselves there, within that moment.

In Untethered Travels, photographer Ralph Tyree takes us on a journey across the country to enjoy the diversity of our natural world, captured through his skillful hand in timeless imagery.
