Shirley is a school counselor and teacher, preacher’s wife, mother, grandmother, friend to many, and a fine Christian lady. Her purpose in writing this book is to provide the reader with strength, faith and encouragement to endure the trials of life, and to understand that since events of the past can’t be changed it is best to reflect on these events and apply the lessons learned for a better tomorrow.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will also help other communities and organizations preserve their history through Our American Heritage Project, a non-profit organization.
